Tobogganing Fun in the Montafon

The winter wonderland Montafon is not just ideal for skiers and snowboarders. Tobogganing can be just as much fun! The valley offers many different slopes for fun experiences. Moreover, for our adventures guests, the Garfrescha has the longest night tobogganing trail in Vorarlberg and is only a short distance away by car!

Tobogganing in the Montafon: Fun for the whole family

The tobogganing slope Kapell starts at the mountain top in the skiing area Silvretta Montafon at 1.855 meters. The cable car is only 5 walking minutes away from the hotel. With your sled, you can drive to the middle station which takes about 20 to 25 minutes. 

 

The night tobogganing slope at Garfrescha is 12 minutes away by car. Starting at 1.500 meters you sled through the Maisäßdorf Garfrescha for 5,5 km and reach the town St. Gallenkirch. This exciting experience is possible till 7 pm and takes about 20 minutes. Fun Fact: This slope has been awarded the best tobogganing slope of Vorarlberg! 

 

The tobogganing slope from Grabs to Latschau is a 9-minute drive away from the Hotel Zimba. To enjoy this slope you will need to walk approximately for 1 hour 30 minutes. Reaching the mountain restaurant Grabs at 1.390 m you can start your 3 km long sled ride. This slope ends at 1.033 meters. 

 

Our recommendation: A winter hike through the Gauertal to the Lindauerhütte is a special winter experience. Returning on your sled is a fun way to end a beautiful hike.
