One of the benefits of the Hotel Zimba is that you can start your hike right in front of the hotel. With more than 1,160 km of hiking trails to explore, ranging from easy to difficult, we would love to help you to find the right trail. As a certified hiking host, we are lucky to be able to gear you up with hiking poles, hiking maps and lunch packages. Once a week, our son Christian takes you to beautiful panoramic views of the Montafon. This is how we like to share our deep love for our local mountains.

Hiking Holidays with dreamy mountain views

The alp valley Montafon in the south of Vorarlberg  and in the south west of Austria. It is surrounded by three mountain chains: the Rätikons in the north-west, the Silvretta in the south and the Verwall in the north-east. This ensures a variety of trails from adventurous hikes to relaxing walks. During summer time, over 1,160km of marked trails take you from green meadows, through forests, by alps and huts to the heights of our summits. In fall, the nature changes it colours and makes hikes a different kind of experience. 

 

 

 

Cable Cars, Buses and more

Using buses and cable cars is an easy and convenient to start a hike. With the Montafon Brandnertal Card ,which is included in our Zimba hiking packages , you can use a number of cable cars for free. Moreover, you can visit outdoor pools of the area after your hikes to cool down and relax. Of course, our hotel own spa area with our beautiful mountain views is waiting for you too. 

 

Hiking tours with certified hiking guides, just like our oldest son Christian, are offered and ensure a safe reaching of new summits. Make sure to check out the BergePlus program for more guided hikes.
