Currently, after a suprisigly good but very special summer season, we are now enjoying our well-deserved company holidays.

If everything goes according to plan, we will start our winter season on the 3rd of December 2020.

Save hospitality - a value that has always been of uttermost importance to us...
of course now, it has gotten a special meaning.

We will do our part to ensure that you feel save and can enjoy your holidays with us to the fullest.


Safety – here at the Zimba, safety has always been a value with the highest importance.

Common sense, being responsible as an individual and care for others – then nothing will be in the way of a relaxing holiday.

On a day to day basis we receive new regulations, we know these are necessary and vital to the current situation so of course we will adapt to them. The safety and health of you, our employees and our family are our highest priority.

To summarize the most important aspects: 

  • Keep at distance of at least one meter to others
  • Not shaking hands or hugging to greet others
  • Wearing a face masks, whenever the Austrian law dictates it
  • Washing your hands several times per day
  • Sneezing and coughing into your arm bend or a tissue   

This is a special time for all of us, but we try to make the best of it.

Frequently asked questions

Have the cancellation conditions changed for the winter season?

Our general cancellation policy is:

  • Free cancellation up until one month before arrival
  • If cancelled in the month before arrival 50% of the cost will be charged
  • When departing earlier the remaining days are charged

A free cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival is possible if:

  • If you or guests travelling with you from the same household have received an official notice to quarantine yourself for the day of the arrival of the booked stay.

  • A travel warning has been issued in your home country, in which non-essential travelling into our region is advised against and a quarantine after return from the holiday is necessary by law (Ihr Heimatland eine Reisewarnung ausgesprochen hat, bei der von nicht notwendigen Reisen in unsere Urlaubsregion dringend abgeraten wird und eine gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Quarantäne bei Rückreise gilt (in spite of a valid negativ PCR-Test)*

  • the borders are closed*
  • all Montafoner cableways and skilifts have to completely stop operating due to COVID-19 related regulations*

    * these resaons are also applicable to the remaining booked days, if the regulations come into effect during the stay


Do I have to wear a mask in the hotel?

At the moment wearing a mask is required in the following areas of the hotel:

- Entrance of the Reception and Restaurant
- at the buffet
- in public spaces, if the minimum distance can not be held
- during spa treatements

You will always find the latest information at the entrance of the hotel.

In general mask must be worn in all stores, public transportation and cable cars.

How does the Check-In work?

Our front office employees are protected by a glass wall and we kindly ask you to keep a distance of at least one meter to guests you are not travelling with.

Is there anything I have to know regarding the hotel restaurant?

We kindly ask you to keep the one meter distance in mind in the restaurant and at the buffet and wear your mask when entering and leaving the restaurant as well as at the buffet.
On the first evening, we will show you to the table that will be your table for the entirety of your stay.  

We provide disinfectant at the table as well as the restaurant entrance for you to disinfect your hands, please do so every time you go to the buffet. Other than that, you can enjoy our regional specialities to the fullest. Our team, that is in contact with guest, is a face shield as a safety measurement. We kindly ask you to also respect the minimum distance to our employees.


Will guided hikes and other events in the Montafon still take place?

The hikes organized by the hotel will still take place in small groups.
The BergePLUS program will also still be taking place with necessary adaptions to ensure the safety of participants.
We host weekly live music at our hotel bar and public events at the church square will take place as far as possible.


Can I use the swimming pool and saunas?

Yes, the swimming pool and our saunas can be used. We have adjusted the distance of our loungers to be bigger and you will find the latest regulations at the entrance of the spa. Please pay attention to the maximum capacity of the swimming pool and the saunas.

Can I book a massage?

Massages with our massage therapist Silvia can be booked as usual, we have adjusted the offered massages accordingly. A mask is required.

Which additional hygiene measures will you be taking?

Our hygiene standards have always been very high. We have increased the frequency of disinfecting measures and our employees have received a special training for the current situation. Additionally we will ventilate with fresh air as often as possible and on your you will find a disinfectant from the local producer Metzler Molke.

Have your employees been tested?

The Montafon has been participating as a test region where all employees will be tested weekly with a throat test and there are still weekly tests. Through these frequent test potential risks will be distinguishable quickly.

What should I do if I feel ill?

Please call the reception with the phone in your room. They will then get in touch with the Helpline 1450 where they will decide which measures need to be taken. Our family is always on-site and happy to communicate anything for you.
