The foundation of the Hotel Zimba as it is now, was put in place with a guest farm house right in the heart of Schruns in 1914; the extension to the building was added in 1969/70. In the early years, bed and breakfast was all that was offered. It changed to be a hotel in 1985; with 89 beds, 60 seats in the restaurant and a dance club with almost 100 seats. With all that, our goals of that time had been  reached.

In 2003, reconstruction was in order once again. The oldest part of the house was torn down completely and replaced by a new construction with 30 beds. We also added an indoor swimming pool, saunas, rooms for massages, a solarium and an exercise room. For economic reasons we closed the a-la-carte restaurant.

Each year we continue our improvement efforts to maintain our standards and to live up to the expectations of our guests. Single rooms, double rooms, and double rooms with a guest couches allow us to accommodate just about 160 guests.

Our role as your hosts...

We as a family, Heike and Hans Peter Ladurne  with our children Christian, Anna-Maria and Katharina manage the Hotel Zimba now for the third generation, since 1991. We relate to our guests with kindness, honesty, tolerance and openess. We focus on each individual, on their personal needs and their individual  personalities. This  goes for our guests as well as our co-workers.Family-life is very important to us. We like to provide our kids with a happy childhood so that some day they too will find joy in our occupation as hotel managers..
